This is a great movieI love this movie, I loved the book and I think the movie was done brilliantly. My two year old daughter wants to watch this one along with the other two Harry Potter's every morning. This movie has everything a good movie needs, suspense, scariness, heart warming moments and of course the action we expect out of Harry Potter, I would recommend it to anyone and I could watch it a hundred times more and still LOVE IT!

Very disappointingAs a huge Harry Potter fan, and having really enjoyed the first two movies, I was very eager to see 'The Prisoner of Azkaban', and now I wish I had rented it and saved my money. There is almost no character development, and Hogwarts now looks as if it is a ruin. But perhaps worst of all it is a poorly constructed movie. My husband, who has not read the books, but thoroughly enjoyed the first two movies, was completely lost in this one. Scenes change quickly, frequently with no explanation, and while this is not a serious problem if you have read the book, for others it makes for a choppy, disjointed mess. Let's hope that if they make the fourth movie, they'll change directors.

A really good movieHarry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone is about a kid that discovers he has magical powers. He is given an opportunity to go to a school where he can train his powers and make new friends. Harry encounters many perils along the way and must defeat them with his new friends and his magical powers. From dragon eggs to flying brooms this is a very exiting movie. The DVD can only make it better. This is a great movie for all ages. DEFINENTLY RECCOMENDED!

man ross was gettin on yo , dudeThis is one of the worst movies also. I suggest this ONLY for little kids. Once again the supposed "jokes" are not funny and the whole wizard-adventure thing is pretty lame. Some older people like this who like watching kid type of movies, but you DO NOT want to see this, Unless you are under 12 years old.

A fair attepmtAs an avid lover of the Harry Potter series, I must say I found the movie only adequate. Maybe I'm just a purist, but I found the added scenes not found in the book quite annoying. Such as in the flying car scene when Harry falls out of the car as the follow the train to hogwarts.Other then my slight nitpicking, the performaces by the actors were great. It was nice to see the cast grow in age as well as acting talent over the year. The costuming was perfect, the special effects stunning. The adaptation from the book though, was lackluster.
